Job Description:


We're seeking a self-starting individual with proven communication and project management skills to contribute to the growth and development of the Media & Entertainment pillar.

Your key responsibilities will be to manage the
Media & Entertainment Leaders Summit, Content Innovation Awards, VideoTech Innovation Awards, and oversee Game Developer Conference's Vault archive.



  • Project manage multiple events for the Media & Entertainment pillar, ensuring that milestones are met, and the projects stay on budget, scope and deadlines.
  • Ensure that all special events meet Informa Tech business objectives.
  • Assist in researching potential launch events
  • Guide internal and external team members to complete project goals.
  • Collect feedback, research, analyze and set strategy for special events at future events
  • Work closely with the Senior Event Producer who oversees CIAs and VIAs award production process
  • Approve, direct and/or execute on key event production aspects for the events including F&B, graphics, printed materials, presenters, hosts, and more
  • Oversee event brief and event plan for Content Innovation Awards, VideoTech Innovation Awards, and Media & Entertainment Leaders Summit
  • Run weekly team meetings to ensure everyone is meeting key milestones and deadlines
  • Plan and execute Omdia partner events held in London
  • Work with operations to ensure costs are inline with budgets and to deliver the events on the day, either physically or virtually
  • Work with Sales and Sponsorship Team to identify additional revenue generating opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to meet event goals
  • Produce postconference report and postevent analysis
  • Be known and seen as a lead contact and strategic mind behind the events
  • Manage Game Developers Conference Vault archive of over 20 years of conference presentations

Qualifications:

  • You will have at least 35 years' experience in event production, event operations or event management
  • You will have an entrepreneurial, intelligent, positive and hardworking attitude
  • You will be commercially astute with a constant desire to find out more about the media and entertainment sector
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Proven prior experience in building and maintaining relationships and understanding customer needs
  • Budget management skills
  • Familiar with vendor contracts
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills written, verbal, presentation
  • Able to work independently and be a team player
  • Problem solving capability
