Analyst - Private Equity Investments

Position Overview
An Analyst at StepStone Private Equity in London will support the local Private Equity team in their investment activities, participating across all investment types (primaries, co-investments, and secondaries in buyout, venture, or growth equity).
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop a foundational understanding of the private equity landscape and industry trends
- Interpret financial analyses, prepare valuation analyses, and analyze trends across various industry sectors
- Form an independent opinion about investment opportunities and effectively communicate that opinion verbally and in writing; be able to defend positions in a team environment, including Investment Committee meetings
- Support Senior staff in sourcing and managing investment processes
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, or Accounting, or equivalent
- Demonstrated track record of academic and professional success
- 1-3 years in Investment Banking or Consulting
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to represent the Firm credibly in written and interpersonal communications
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/modeling skills
- Leadership potential
- High proficiency in Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Flexibility—StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; professionals are expected to perform multiple functions as the firm grows
- Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
- European language skills (desirable)
