Job Overview:


Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to others? Do you have a nurturing spirit and a desire to make a positive impact in people's lives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant.

In this role, you will be an essential part of our dedicated care team, providing support and assistance to residents in a healthcare setting.


Duties:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks.
  • Support residents with mobility and transferring, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Provide assistance with toileting and continence care as needed.
  • Monitor and record residents' vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote wellbeing and mental stimulation.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including their rooms and communal areas.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure residents' care plans are implemented effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards caregiving.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare procedures and protocols (training will be provided).
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.

Job Types:

Pay:
£17.50-£19.80 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
