About the job:
At Boots Opticians, we are currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst specializing in Working Capital to join our Controllership team. This position will involve reporting to the Finance Manager responsible for Working Capital, Margin, and Franchise Partner Accounts. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a team that has a broad impact on crucial finance areas such as debtors, creditors, franchise partner accounts, and cash operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate month-end processes, managing cash allocation, and analyzing the balance sheet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate reporting of debtors and creditors during month-end close
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations completed by the Finance team
  • Collaborate with tax and payroll teams for precise HMRC submissions
  • Oversight of cash balances, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasts
  • Support external audit processes
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiency improvements
  • Work closely with various teams to complete tasks on time
  • Provide assistance to franchise business development managers
  • Handle ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and business objects
