Contract: Temporary - 5 Weeks
The Play Service are looking for enthusiastic support workers who are passionate about working with children and young people. The role includes being part of a team to provide play activities during school holidays in the form of Play and Wellbeing Camps, Food and Fun Camps and playschemes to encourage positive wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team to provide inclusive support to children with disabilities, additional learning needs and behaviour to allow them to play in a safe-staffed environment.
Ideally you will have some previous experience of Playwork or working with children and young people.

Qualifications / Experience:Essential
Good communication skills. Patient and Caring.Desirable
Good standard of education to GCSE level coupled with a relevant Level 2 qualification in Playwork, Youth work, Early Years Care, Education or equivalent. A good understanding of the importance of play for children, young people and the wider community. Proven experience in Playwork/ Youth work/ Early Years/ Education. Experience of working with people with disabilities and/or complex behaviours. Experience of previous practical experience of planning appropriate stimulating play activities and opportunities for children with a range of abilities.See the Job Description for a full list of criteria
