Quality Manager at XYZ Company

Do you have a passion for ensuring the quality of products in the food manufacturing industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager at XYZ Company, located in a convenient area for those coming from Bath, Chippenham, Warminster, Devizes, Trowbridge, Swindon, and surrounding regions.

As the Quality Manager reporting to the site Operations Manager, your main goal is to oversee and coordinate the technical integrity of all processes and products, ensuring compliance with the company's Quality Management System for both internally manufactured products and those sourced externally.

You will play a vital role in maintaining recognized food safety standards and managing technical risks efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the NPD process, ensuring customer requirements are met, and developing environmental policies and processes.

This role is dynamic and hands-on, involving activities like cooking trials, audits, and engaging with international customers and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the quality management system to uphold BRC/GFSI accreditation
  • Liaise with food standard bodies and international authoritative bodies
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the quality team
  • Act as HACCP team leader
  • Manage supplier approval and monitoring
  • Provide technical input and resolve non-conformities
  • Handle customer complaints and investigations
  • Manage Specifications team for new product launches
  • Assist with NPD and Process Development
  • Manage Goods-In Lab Analysis
  • Develop the ERP system for efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology
  • HACCP and Auditing qualifications
  • Experience in BRC or similar GFSI accreditation
  • Understanding of Export Regulations
