About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will have the chance to work in a highly fulfilling field alongside inspiring service users and colleagues. Reporting to our Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting and participating in delivering a range of healthcare interventions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the clinical team with healthcare assessments and treatments
- Undertaking clinical supervisions
- Providing harm reduction support, information, and advice related to substance misuse
- Conducting detoxification assessments and Health Assessments
- Supervising community detoxifications
- Performing BBV screening and immunizations
- Referring individuals to other services to address their health and well-being requirements
- Assisting student nurses
- Contributing to training and pathway development within the service
