Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Teach across all levels and abilities
  • GCSE, A-Level and B-TECH
  • To oversee the teaching of Physics throughout the school and the implementation of the curriculum
  • To seek opportunities for pupils to engage in activities with other schools, competitions and challenges in Physics supporting both pupil enhancement and raising of school profile
  • To raise the profile of Physics across the school
  • Make sure that the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning

Skills & experience

  • Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum of England (Plus IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate)
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating a child
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the wellbeing of children
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
  • Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
  • A positive and solutionfocused attitude to working life
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children
