The University of Northampton (UON) is seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Sport Coaching Science. You will join a growing, positive, and collegiate team with a solid culture of student-focused teaching and high impact research.

The post holder will primarily be responsible for delivering high quality teaching and assisting in the design and development of innovative and inclusive teaching materials for coaching related modules on BSc Esports, as well as our BSc Sport and Exercise Science, and BSc Sport Coaching degree programmes. Applications are welcomed from individuals with experience of working with a diverse range of athletes and teams in esports and/or sport settings or who have the capability and motivation to traverse the two.

This is an exciting time to join UON following our recent relocation to a new purpose-built, town-centre campus designed to adapt to innovative teaching and learning pedagogy and practice. We are looking to recruit individuals who share our passion for inclusion, aspiration, sustainability, trust, and creativity, and who will play a key part in supporting ambition, creating opportunities, and delivering impact.

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy. However, there will be an expectation to carry out teaching duties appropriate to the session type, meetings with staff and students, and personal tutor support should this require a physical, on-campus presence at various times.

Essential:

- Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale

The Sport and Exercise Subject Group has recently expanded its portfolio to include seven single honours undergraduate degrees and two postgraduate degrees.
