There is an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Buyer, this is a new role that's been created to support the Buyers in our client's global procurement team, who manage supply network procurement related activities for the facility, delivering procurement excellence.

What would you do?

  • Process requisitions and provide support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation
  • Develop improvement plans related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations
  • Perform analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, build expertise for the assigned process area, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Support customers & customer proposal efforts, with pricing details & supplier selection
  • Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar purchasing role ideally within Manufacturing
  • Familiar with basic procurement and quality principles, procedures, and techniques
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and MRP systems
  • Ability to prioritise work, be organised, selfsupporting and work from your own initiative
  • An eye for detail with a thorough approach accuracy & 'attention to detail' is key
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style
