About The Role

Please note that this position requires working 30 hours per week during term time with a pro rata annual salary of £14,079. A holiday payment of £1,899 will be distributed equally in twelve monthly salary payments, in addition to the pro rata salary.

As a Learning Support Practitioner, your main responsibility will be to provide assistance to students with a high level of need across a variety of subjects and qualifications, ranging from entry 1 up to level 3, including Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths.

Students may present a wide array of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, requiring support in their studies, work placements, and potentially personal care.

About You

If you have excellent communication skills, understanding of behavior management, a passion for motivating students in their learning journey, and can thrive under pressure, then this role is perfect for you.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting students with high needs, ideally having previous experience working with individuals with visual and/or hearing impairments, global development delays, and language & communication challenges.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team to assist students in small groups and during lectures, who may have conditions like Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, Global learning delays, Language & Communication difficulties, as well as Sensory and Physical needs. Prior experience in these areas is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
