Position:

A permanent opportunity for a Physiotherapist Advanced in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Management at University Hospital Ayr is now available.

What You Will Do:

Join our MSK Primary Care service in Ayrshire and Arran as a Physiotherapist focusing on MSK conditions, providing care at GP practices and leading in core MSK clinical sessions.

Specialized skills in MSK assessment and management, along with teaching experience, are required for this role.

Training and Experience Required:

  • MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy recognized by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration
  • Advanced clinical experience in a musculoskeletal setting
  • Specialized postgraduate training in Manual Therapy/Sports Medicine or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills
  • Relevant Post Graduate Courses in Manual Therapy MSC / MACP, Sports Medicine MSc, etc.

Working Hours:

Part-time role with 18.6 hours per week.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car ownership is essential.

NHS Agenda for Change Working Hours Reduction:

From April 1, 2024, working hours for NHS staff in Scotland will reduce to 37 hours without loss of earnings.

Transition to the new working hours will be implemented gradually across NHS Ayrshire and Arran to ensure patient safety.
