Responsibilities:


As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing contract drafting and technical expertise to our broking teams in London and local offices across EMEA and APAC regions.

Your work will have a direct impact on our clients and the success of our business.

  • Develop and produce reinsurance contracts covering a range of reinsurance lines, including Property and Casualty business and Life Reinsurance.
  • Provide technical analysis of contract wording, suggesting improvements, coverage enhancements, and compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support and resolve contractrelated queries from Clients, Underwriters, and internal customers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest market developments and clauses, ensuring that the latest guidance is communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Support and drive process improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure all contracts align with the Contract Certainty Code of Practice and adhere to the London Market Reform guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role drafting or reviewing contracts, or relevant expertise gained from a legal or insurance background.
  • Knowledge of contract construction and clause language.
  • Proficiency in MS Word.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Communication skills with the ability to discuss and explain contractual language to various audiences.
  • Ability to organize and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, as required.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
