Holmwood Corner Surgery are a forward thinking medical practice based in the heart of New Malden.

It has achieved a CQC rating of 'good' and is served well by public transport links and close proximity to New Malden high street.


Job Summary


Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.


Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors (in person or via telephone).


Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and effective reception service to patients and visitors;
  • Deal with general enquiries (procedures, assisting patients with the website and other);
  • Book appointments via Website or EMIS;
  • Register new patients;
  • Direct, receive and make telephone calls as required;
  • Process of documents and letters sent via post;
  • Filing either electronically or paper notes;
  • Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners and Practice Management Team.

Person Specification/Experience
GP receptionist and EMIS experience ideal.

Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel etc.

Accuracy when typing.

Good communication and effective social skills and dealing with customers/public.

Good time-keeping, team player and respectful at all times.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 25 per week

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • New Malden: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
