Southampton City Council are looking for an experienced individual to join us as a Property Inspector / Building Surveyor.

You will be part of the busy Property Management Team responsible the domestic property estate these include:

  • Carry out stock condition surveys
  • Insurance inspections
  • Permission for alterations
  • Defect surveys
  • Statutory and regulatory compliance
As the work is varied, a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines.

You will be liaising with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role.

We are looking for someone who can build successful working arrangements and partnerships with other internal and external service providers and ensure that productivity levels are maintained across all areas of responsibility.

The successful applicant must have a full driving license. You will also be required to undergo a DBS check. If you have organisational, customer service, time management and physical skills, then we would like to hear from you.

Additional information

  • This post requires a Standard DBS check.
  • Must have access to a car and a full UK driving license.
  • Please note the salary quoted is based on full time hours (37 hours per week)
  • The Working Hours for this role are 37 hours per week.
