Sage provides supply chain management, on site supply services, single source supply, logistics solutions, engineering solutions and other cost reduction programs.

The

Sourcing Specialist


will support the Purchasing Department by performing day to day sourcing operations and working with cross functional partners to achieve goals.

Below is a detailed list which includes, but is not limited to, the basic job responsibilities, specifications and qualifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
n1. Identify (Source) new supply chains for aftermarket products for industrial and automotive parts, primarily for mobile equipment. Maintain documentation of sourcing process, targets and goals.n2.

Serve as a key liaison for day -to- day global sourcing operations for supplier/product selection to achieve the optimal cost for the business and departmental success.n3.

Oversee qualifications of replacement products that affect cost savings while maintaining quality standards equivalent to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement products.n4.

Reduce vendor base by maximizing usage of best of class suppliers within product lines and proactively find alternative supply lines to allow the business cost position to be maintained and improved.n5.

Achieve and record measurable cost saving through sourcing efforts, matchup of OEM components to other than OEM supply chains and price negotiations to improve the business cost position in the market place.n6.

Develop and maintain supplier relationships. Preserve customer service standards when navigating complex situations. Regularly look for common ground and encourage collaborations among team members.n7. May requires limited travel.

Education and Qualifications:
n
  • High School Diploma equivalent required (Year 13 in the UK); advanced degree preferredn
  • Three to five years sourcing or procurement experience requiredn
  • Experience in procurement of mechanical or electrical components and related services strong plus.n
  • Desirable to have experience purchasing components for electrical vehiclesn
  • Experience sourcing electrical motors and electrical components preferredn
  • Experience in industrial motorized equipment, material handling, OEM or aftermarket mobile equipment replacement parts business and/or automotive related replacement parts business preferredn
  • Experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning System a plusn
  • Aviation Ground Service Equipment experience a plusn
  • Global industrial and / or automotive experience a plusn
  • Tire experience is a plusn
  • Ability to thrive in high volume work environmentn
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projectsn
  • English required, Bilingual Spanish/French a plusn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsn
  • Strong Excel skill required
