Client Overview:

Loom Talent have been retained by a forward-thinking Multi-User 3PL Transport provider, renowned for its commitment to delivering top-notch logistics solutions in the fast-moving world of 3PL & FMCG. As a key player in the industry, they pride themselves on a commitment to delivering excellence service, now seeking a Transport Manager to own the end to end group Transport function.

This role would suit a developing Transport Supervisor, Transport Shift Manager or Junior / Assistant Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing end to end operations, leading multi-site transport operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a small Transport Driver & Administration team.
  • Oversee a modern fleet of up to 25+ vehicles.
  • Lead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation.
  • Ensuring seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.
  • Implementing best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.
  • To help support and develop individuals, provide developmental opportunities within the business.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Transport Manager position will possess:
  • A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background - Essential.
  • A CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations – Advantageous.
  • 2+ Years Transport supervisory or management experience within a 3PL / Haulage / Retail or FMCG environment – Essential.
  • Proven experience in assisting with / managing 20+ vehicles – Essential.
  • Sub-contracting experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • A true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Commutable to the Hinckley, Leicestershire area 5 days per week - Essential.
Salary & Package:
  • Salary - £35,000 to £45,000
  • Company Bonus Scheme
  • 23 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
