Job Type / Category


GIC Youth Centre provides a range of services for the community and works with external partners in the voluntary and statutory sectors.

Based in Plumstead (SE18) we operate a dedicated Youth Centre Space while operating external sports activities.

  • The post holder will work as part of the Youth Services Team
  • The post holder will support volunteers, apprentices and work experience students


You will be required to work 16 hours a week (including evenings) which can be split in to a flexible working timetable in conjunction with your line manager.

Further full time opportunities available following probation period.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work responsibly and flexibly in a variety of service delivery settings.
  • Ability to keep records, reports and fulfil data requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing, face to face, on line or on the telephone, with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise, plan and manage own workload.
  • Ability to provide a flexible and adaptable approach to ensure services are accessible and responsive to client needs.
  • Driving License and Access to own car (preferred not essential)
