What would you be doing?

This is an exciting and varied opportunity working directly with the QHSE Manager as well as colleagues across all three areas of the business - sales & marketing, design and operations.


Health and safety qualifications are not a prerequisite for this role as career development and a willingness to maintain a personal CPD will be required.


  • You need to drive Mities QHSE strategy across the business, promoting and embedding the ethos of 'Live Safe', and ensuring contractual, company, legislative and best practice requirements are met and maintained.
  • Attend meetings, forums, as a representative of the QHSE Function
  • Monitor, maintain and develop internal records to ensure continued compliance
  • Record and issue site safety equipment
  • Oversee and develop internal training requirements
  • Produce accurate reports to demonstrate the QHSE performance
  • Ensure that investigations are assigned to the relevant stakeholders and that recommendations for corrective or preventive measures are appropriately communicated and implemented
  • Maintain effective communication, preparing and disseminating reports and documentation to ensure stakeholders are accurately informed and relevant standards are met.
  • Work in accordance with any internal audit programmes to drive continual improvement and compliance with required standards and business requirements
  • Work in accordance with and promote the Mitie Group QHSE management system and ensuring compliance to the Group umbrella certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4500
  • Any other duties as requested by your line manager to support the QHSE team during daily operations and work towards strategic targets
