We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team of Sports Coaches & Instructors to work part time hours in Coleraine & surrounding areas.


Our ideal coach needs to be flexible, passionate about sports and working with both children and parents, hold a driving license & have access to a car to transport equipment; and must be available to work from 4pm weekdays in and around Coleraine & Limavady.

You must have previous practical experience coaching, instructing or assisting with children's programs & activities.

You must enjoy working with young people to overcome challenges, be full of energy and charismatic to inspire, motivate and educate, and above else you must be ready to fully commit to being a role model that children will build bonds with and look up to.

We provide full training, which is a mix of live online mentoring sessions and in person physical curriculum training.

We also pay for paediatric first aid training for lead coaches, carry out police checks, and provide uniform and class kit.

Savage Martial Arts offers fun, structured martial arts sessions for children aged from 4 to 17 years old.

Our instructors deliver sessions with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement, to create an atmosphere that is unique and engaging for children and parents alike.


We do this by delivering our specifically designed programme for each age group in a fun, dramatic, and entertaining way, taking the children on a journey of sporting imagination whilst teaching them character development and physical technique movements.

The main objectives are for the children to have fun and grow in confidence during their time with us.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and engage with the children in your classes.
  • Work though the Savage Martial Arts programme to teach the basic core skills used in a fun and structured environment.
  • Demonstrate games and skills with enthusiasm and energy, and provide positive feedback to the children.
  • Plan the sessions, ensure class start and finish on time, and engage with parents.

Essential attributes:

  • Experience of working with young children and/or previous coaching experience.
  • A passion for sports (ideally martial arts but not essential).
  • An outgoing, dynamic personality.
  • An ability to engage with children with energy, enthusiasm and excitement.
  • Excellent organisational, verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car is required.
  • Must speak good English.
