Are you passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for children with social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties? Join our client's residential children's home near the beautiful Suffolk Coast in Leiston.
Role Overview:
- Ensure the safety and security of the children throughout the night
- Conduct regular checks on each child and record observations accurately
- Provide emotional support to children who may be distressed or wake up during the night
- Communicate effectively with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required
- To effectively lead the night shift, managing any incidents which occur with support from the on-call manager
Key Requirements:
- Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in working with children and young people, or willingness to work towards this
- Experience in a residential childcare setting is preferred
- Commitment to work flexible hours, including night shifts on a rolling rota
- Driving Licence: Competitive pay rate based on experience
- Professional development opportunities, including support to achieve further qualifications
