Arriva Rail London are on the hunt for a new Regional Support Assistant to join the Customer Experience team, covering the Northern stretch of the London Overground.
You will provide administrative support to the station management teams, enabling them to effectively conduct their roles and all operational activities.
This individual will need to have had experience working within the administration space, with excellent communication skills and will need to be a customer focussed individual.

Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for compiling reports on Absence Management, including MFA procedure documentation preparation and distribution.
- The Regional Support Assistant will coordinate random drug and alcohol testing and medication checks with HR admin and thirdparty providers.
- You will manage resources for winterisation activities.
- Coordination of local union meetings will also be a key part of this role.
- Tracking and compiling reports on Accidents/Assaults and safety incidents, promptly notifying relevant station management members will also be a key responsibility for the Regional Support Assistant.
- You will support meetings by taking minutes and tracking actions at key forums.
- The Regional Support Assistant will have full ownership of the uniform ordering process, liaising with stakeholders to address issues.
- Ensuring efficient methods for ordering station consumables are in place is another key part of this role.
- You will coordinate construction and distribution of reporting logbooks at stations.
- The Regional Support Assistant will also be responsible for updating the safety management systems and assist with delay attribution activities and investigations.
Qualifications:
- You will need to have had administrative experience, ideally within a customer focussed setting with a strong working knowledge of MS Office.
- Ideally this person will have worked as part of a team and will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good attention to detail and the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise effectively.
- You will need to have good organisational skills and will need a methodical/ structured approach with the ability to problem solve effectively.
- Any experience producing insight reports would be highly desirable but not essential as well as any understanding of attendance management procedures within large organisations.
