We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Housekeeper to join our client's private household located in Chelsea.


The household is beautifully decorated and so requires someone with a good understanding of how to care for delicate fittings and finishes.


The family have grown up children who no longer live at home, and they have a dog and a cat.

They employ a dog walker but the housekeeper will need to occasionally feed and tend to the animals.

Job duties:

  • Perform thorough and regular cleaning of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, and other spaces, as required
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping floors to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
  • Change and launder bed linens, towels, and other têxtiles on a regular basis
  • Manage and maintain the household's inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other essential items, and occasionally placing online orders
  • Handle delicate materials and valuable possessions with care, following specific cleaning instructions as needed
  • Liaising with the family PA, as and when required
  • Manage laundry and ironing duties, including delicate fabrics and special care items
  • Responsible for occasional pet care, such as feeding and light grooming
  • Occasional preparation of juices, tea or coffee for the family / guests
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and respect for the privacy of the residents
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private household, would be preferred
  • Strong understanding of various cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and order
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks
  • Exceptional organisational skills to keep track of cleaning schedules and household inventory
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Discretion and respect for the privacy of the household residents and guests

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:30.
