Meraki Talent are working with an exciting Fintech client in London looking for a Compliance Monitoring Associate to join their growing Compliance function.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:nUndertake regular compliance monitoring in accordance with the annual Compliance Monitoring PlannIdentify any gaps or weaknesses in the Plan and propose remedial actions.nDay to day management of the Plan ensuring tests are completed on time and that progress is made against the overall plan.nAssist with scoping, implementing and managing second line testing to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and business process.nReport and discuss all findings with appropriate management obtaining their responses to the findings made and following up to ensure remediation.nDocument the findings, recommended actions and management responses together with agreed timescales and action owners.nFollow-up management's implementation of agreed compliance actions and report all outstanding actions to the Senior Compliance Manager, and where relevant the Head of Compliance.nTrack business unit actions to mitigate risk and support continuous improvement across the business.nSupport the wider compliance team with ad hoc tasks as required.


Relevant experience:

n2 – 3 years compliance monitoring experience within financial services.nBroad understanding of the FCA rules and regulations.nGood interpersonal and skills, able to interact with people at all levels both face to face, on the telephone and in writing;nStrong documentation skills;nAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and responding to immediate incidents;nAbility to assimilate complex details quickly and present clearly to the business or in a report;nStrong report writing skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy;nDraft planning materials, issues, reports and prepare test related materials as well as recommend ratings based on risk and findings;nWork collaboratively with all business areas (during a review) as well as building strong relationships with key business partners;nAbility to access and prioritise workloads whilst ensuring goals are achieved within allocated time frames;nAble to work both independently and as part of a small cohesive team;nA calm and methodical approach to troubleshooting issues in a pressured environment;nProfessional manner;nService orientated/self-starter attitude – can-do attitude.
