Job Description

** A key requirement of this role is that the candidate must be readily available to work onsite at the offices near to Warrington, Cheshire, regularly. Relocation is not an option. You'll already live within a commutable distance of Warrington, Cheshire / Greater Manchester **

The role: Senior QA Test Engineer (SaaS, manual testing)

Location: Near to Warrington, Cheshire / Greater Manchester

Salary: £42k to £48k basic + benefits

Candidates must be fully clear to work in the UK without relocation/sponsorship requirements

As an experienced Software QA, you'll have proven experience of testing software within an agile environment and ideally with a cloud-based solution for retail or ecommerce markets, where many different customers use a single software application

Duties to include:

  • To prepare test plans and scripts for each software component.
  • To execute test cases, analyse results and report any issues.
  • To prepare and maintain test plans for use on automated testing tools.
  • To ensure that high quality and accuracy is maintained during each software release.
  • To test new hardware and equipment to ensure compatibility with our software.

Required skills & experience:

  • Well Developed Analytical skills
  • Strong experience with the following testing methods:
  • Black & White Box, Usability, User Acceptance, Integration, Regression
  • Performance and Load specific testing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic SQL knowledge

Desired skills:

  • Agile / Scrum experience
  • Technical skills in automated testing tools (Sahi, Soap UI, Wapt)
  • Knowledge of retail systems / large scale transactional
  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP based APIs
