Responsibilities

  • To maintain accurate records of room occupancy and availability for late duty Housekeeper and Reception.
  • To report to Housekeeper any guest request or room maintenance required.
  • To check standard of linen supply to guest rooms and return any damaged linen to the linen room.
  • Make up beds, clean and set up sitting room, bedroom and bathroom promptly, in accordance with the Standards of Performance Manual for the Department.
  • Turn down and night service every bedroom, bathroom and suite, i.e. remove bedspread, turn top edge back to form a triangle, draw curtains.
  • Hoover corridor, clean tables, fire doors, skirting boards and window sills and draw corridor curtains.
  • Keep VIP list up to date, and note any special requests by guests on the wall chart in the Service.
  • To carry out spring cleaning of rooms as scheduled by the Housekeeper.
  • Clean and empty vacuum cleaner and put away cleaning materials before going off duty.
  • Hand over list of unserviced guest rooms and any special requests for the following day to the Housekeeper.

  • First experience in the field of room cleaning would be desirable; career changers are welcome

From £11,000.00 per year
