ABOUT THE POST:

Are you a caring individual who wants to be a part of an essential service in your local community?

Progress Lifeline are looking to hire more Emergency Home Responders to join our expanding team. We are a 24-hour home response service which helps older, disabled and vulnerable people who have fallen or had an emergency at home.

As an emergency home responder you will assess and establish the nature of the emergency and provide the necessary support for the customer. At all times you must offer reassurance and make our customers as comfortable as possible.

Full training will be provided: This will include First Aid and dealing with emergency situations as well as the moving and handing of customers who have fallen. How to perform risk assessments, carry out welfare visits and when required lift customers using specialist lifting equipment.

Working from home you will be part of a rota of 7 days on call Monday to Sunday.Each shift is 12 hours long. This will include weekends and Bank Holidays. Due to timed attendance targets it is essential that you live within the South Cumbria area. This position is working nights, working 18:00 to 06:00, 7 or 14 days in 28.

Our teams are made up of a variety of people with different backgrounds and previous experience. Previous experience isn't essential for the role as training will be given to enable you to become valuable member of our team and provide support to the emergency services.

PAY STRUCTURE

24.36 for each 12 hour standby shift.

·Plus 16.35 per callout for the first 90 minutes.

·An additional 11.55 per hour for any callouts over 90 minutes.

·0.45p per mile car allowance. (see PDF for full example)
