The selected candidate will have the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of business needs and operational challenges. You will actively contribute to various aspects of the business. The Quality team at Lisburn collaborates closely with Engineering, Operations, and Suppliers to deliver top-quality products to customers worldwide.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supplier Evaluation and Supporting Supplier Selection:
    • Assess and audit potential suppliers to review their quality management systems and manufacturing capabilities.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to choose reliable and cost-effective suppliers based on quality performance.
  • Quality System Development:
    • Establish quality assurance procedures and guidelines for supplier evaluation and monitoring.
    • Define quality requirements for materials and products in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Supplier Development and Performance Monitoring:
    • Identify areas for improvement in suppliers' processes and quality systems.
    • Support suppliers in complying with quality standards and enhancing their performance.
  • Quality Control and Inspection:
    • Implement material inspection plans to ensure the quality of purchased components.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality standards during manufacturing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Spot opportunities for process enhancement within the supply chain to boost quality and efficiency.
    • Analyze quality data to identify improvement areas and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate documentation of supplier quality activities.
    • Report on supplier quality performance to management and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Engineering degree or related field with experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and principles.
  • Experience in supplier quality management, development, or auditing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control methods.
  • Proficiency in quality tools like root cause analysis and statistical process control.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality products.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

DESIRED CRITERIA:

The following skills are beneficial but not mandatory:

  • Experience in Electromechanics.
  • PCBA experience.
  • Auditing certifications.
