Role Summary
- Operational delivery of nursing services across the school, college, respite/short breaks and residential homes
- Professional leadership, management, and clinical supervision to the nursing team
- Management of nursing team's financial resources ensuring equitable, effective, and efficient deliveryof the nursing service within the resources available
- Strategic development of the nursing services, leading innovative and creative practice to enhance the efficiency of the service
- Support implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards
- Collaborative working in conjunction with those who form the multidisciplinary teams including the Local Authority, therapy, education and social care teams both internally and externally
Requirements:
- RMN (as well as RGN and RNLD) with current NMC registration (essential)
- Substantial SEND school / college nursing experience and collaborative decisionmaking experience
- Proven experience in preservice assessment, care pathway planning, service delivery and outcome measures
- Experience in development and delivery of training
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, including severe communication difficulties and challenging behaviour
- Previous management of qualified and nonqualified staff
