The Company & Role:
Our client, a privately owned supply chain management company, is seeking a Customs Clerk to join their team in Merseyside.
Job Description:
- Handling a variety of commodities for all shipments
- Managing the entire life cycle of shipments from clearance to customer delivery
- Completing daily customs clearance and entries for freight shipments
- Conducting Import and Export clearances through HMRC CHIEF
- Coordinating delivery to the client
- Responding promptly and effectively to all queries
- Establishing strong working relationships with customers and colleagues
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of solid freight forwarding and customs clearance experience
- Familiarity with tariffs and Incoterms
- Experience with inputting into CHIEF system
In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of approximately c£30,000.
