Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Tachograph Technician to join our team. As a Tachograph Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tachograph systems in vehicles.

This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Install tachograph systems in vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on tachograph systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tachograph systems
  • Repair or replace faulty components as needed
  • Assemble and weld components as required
  • Use schematics and technical manuals to guide repairs and installations
  • Conduct equipment repairs and adjustments as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools and calibration equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
  • Experience with equipment repair and maintenance
  • Be based within the Greater Manchester/Lancashire area
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills

Package:

39.5hrs per week with lots of available overtime, no weekends, some overnight stays. Salary is up to £16 per hour.

Salary:
£15.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 39.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
