Are you an organized and detail-oriented Stores Person with experience in the rail industry? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team at a leading rail subcontractor based in Essex.

This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management and distribution of materials and equipment for our rail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and record deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Organize and store materials in a systematic and accessible manner.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to fulfill material requests.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to monitor inventory levels and minimize discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage and handling of materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Stores Person, preferably within the rail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and control practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to storage and materials handling.
  • Basic IT skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
