Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a person with Learning Disabilities living in the Cumbernauld area.


You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

  • Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and healthy snacks
  • Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
  • Helping with Education
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living


Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Favourite activities are swimming, Cooking, sensory experiences and socialising and Music.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Driver essential and will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 15 hours per week (or more depending on the individual needs of the person.)


Shifts agreed in advance and will be to benefit the individual also requiring to be flexible where possible for last minute changes due to needs.


Days and times
Within Monday to Friday 11am - 9pm. Hours to be discussed further at the interview.


Occasional weekends are required with a few overnights and weekends away - availability can be discussed further at the interview.


Hourly rate
£12.00 per hour OR a higher rate which the employer deems justifiable.

If you are successfully hired; you will be employed directly by a Private Employer and will be entitled to all statutory rights as set out by Employment Law, such as paid holidays and statutory sick pay (where eligible).
