Female Personal Care Assistant/ Support Worker required to assist a 60-year young lady living in the Gartcosh area of North Lanarkshire.


You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within my home and in the community including - attending to my personal care and participation in social activities.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

  • Attending to some personal care needs
  • Support with dressing
  • Help to preparing meals (Lunch and evening meals) and healthy snacks.
  • Hoisting using my ceiling hoist
  • Moving and assisting pushing manual wheelchair
  • General Housework, keeping house tidy, loading dishwasher, brushing floors, ironing, changing bedding every week
  • Help me to keep up to date with simple exercise for losing Weight and Archery
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

My hobbies and interests are:

  • Archery, Photography (I'm looking into doing a College Course next year) Gardening, I grow my own fruit and vegetables. I love playing Computer games like Mahjong and the 5 different types of Solitaire which keeps my mind active and if I have time, I enjoy reading.
Driver is essential and you will be required to drive my mobility vehicle.


Experience is required but not essential as training can be given, I'm looking for someone with a friendly nature and good interpersonal skills, hardworking, honest and a good sense of humour so therefore the person would have to have a desire to work within a Caring role.


  • The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._


Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.


Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 13 hours per week.

Days and times:


Tuesday and Wednesday and a few weekends throughout the year - hours can be flexible and can be discussed at interview.

Typical hours - 9am - 3pm, can be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate:

£12.50 per hour

If you are successfully hired; you will be employed directly by a Private Employer and will be entitled to all statutory rights as set out by Employment Law such as paid holidays and statutory sick pay (where eligible).
