Job Summary
We are excited to offer you a fantastic opportunity to join our team at Bath North service as a Band 5 Community Nurse located at The Hollies, Midsomer Norton. This part-time position typically involves working from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with one weekend in every 4 weeks. Your main role will be providing advice and support to housebound individuals in their homes to enhance their well-being and independence. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to manage your schedule for consistent care.
You will become part of a highly supportive and welcoming team that prioritizes teamwork and career development. The team includes two Band 7 members at The Hollies service who provide continuous clinical support and guidance. Additionally, our team has received an Outstanding rating from CQC.
You will collaborate with the Reablement team and Community Matrons in a multidisciplinary environment. The service is conveniently situated on Midsomer Norton's high street, with nearby amenities such as Sainsburys and a dedicated car park.
We provide a personalized induction program tailored to your interests and needs to help you enhance your skills and reach your full potential, including preceptorships for newly qualified nurses.
Whether you are a newly qualified nurse, soon to be qualified, or an experienced Band 5 Nurse, we are eager to hear from you.
Main Duties of the Job

As a Band 5 Community Nurse at The Hollies in Midsomer Norton, your responsibilities will cover areas including Radstock, Paulton, Peasedown St John, and surrounding regions. A valid driver's license and access to a car are essential for this role.
As a Community Nurse, you will:
- Be responsible for contributing to holistic patient care within their homes
- Develop and implement care programs
- Provide advice and recommend treatments by collaborating with GPs and specialists
- Lead in the absence of senior staff
- Administer medications and provide various types of care including wound care and IV therapy

The Ideal Candidate
- Registered Nurse with NMC or a newly qualified nurse
- Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility
- Seeking a fulfilling role with opportunities to build lasting relationships with service users
