Payroll Specialist, full-time permanent position in Hull at William Jackson Food Group. Reporting to the group payroll manager, you will handle outsourced payroll services for the entire group, collaborating with various businesses to ensure efficient and precise payroll processing across different pay frequencies.

  • Liaise with businesses to ensure timely payroll submissions as per agreed processes
  • Ensure seamless data transfer from businesses to peoplefirst and itrent
  • Review People First scheduler output in iTrent to verify data accuracy

This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in payroll, particularly with iTrent exposure, seeking to enhance their expertise and gain broader experience.


Key skills and experience for the Payroll Specialist:
  • Prior recent payroll experience covering tax, NI, statutory leave, payments, attachment of earnings, NMW compliance
  • Proficiency in manual calculations of payroll elements and reports using Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, macros) and business object reports
  • Knowledge of HMRC legislation, payroll processes, and pensions

Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders regarding payroll matters via phone, email, and in-person, showcasing excellent customer service.
