MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Major Works Surveyor to join a housing association based in Walton on Thames, Surrey.

Your role will be to diagnose, specify, procure and monitor your clients' housing major repairs and planned works for London and South East properties, including managing Party Wall enquiries and tenant requests for alterations, all while ensuring these works are delivered to a consistently high standard and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

This role offers hybrid working, requiring you to be in the office around 2/3 days a week and the rest from home. There might be a need for more office presence during probation as you get up to speed.

The company offers a salary of £51,000p/a + £2400 Car Allowance plus benefits.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Diagnose, specify, procure, and monitor major repairs and planned works for London and South East properties including managing Party Wall enquiries and tenant requests for alterations.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering works to a consistently high standard.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Project manage major repairs for London & South East, from inception to completion.
  • Manage works such as insurance claim works, structural damp works, major drainage works, ground works, roofline and rainwater services works, planned fencing program, structural works, cavity wall and loft insulation, major aids & adaptations, among others.
  • Undertake contractor administration duties including reviewing Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, and Specifications.
  • Work closely with the Resident Liaison Officer to ensure works offer excellent customer experience.
  • Contribute to health and safety regulations compliance.

Promote high standards of customer focus and contribute to the efficient running of the company. Ensure services deliver value for money and recognize diversity in service delivery.

Project a positive image of the company by providing excellent customer service and handling complaints effectively.

Comply with the Health & Safety Policy, ensuring health and safety for self and others.
