Job Title: Senior RTT Validator and Trainer at Bristol Eye Hospital

Company: University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW)

As an organization, we understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. When you apply, let us know how we can support flexible working arrangements to ensure your work fits seamlessly into your life outside of work.

We encourage applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups, as they are currently underrepresented within our Trust.

The selected candidate will oversee a team of validators at Bristol Eye Hospital, responsible for conducting RTT validations and ensuring data quality checks on over 7000 RTT pathways. This role involves processing patient pathway activity in compliance with patient access policies and standard operating system guidelines. The Senior RTT Validator and Trainer will serve as an expert in RTT national guidelines, providing guidance to junior team members and delivering training to other hospital departments. You will be tasked with conducting thorough checks on patient pathways using electronic tracking systems and auditing against RTT national standards to support the Trust in meeting RTT Performance benchmarks.

  • The incumbent will be accountable for providing validation and training on RTT to ensure accurate information is recorded across the hospital, supporting monthly performance targets.
  • Conduct training sessions for small groups and individuals to ensure compliance with RTT regulations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidence and expertise in RTT to meet job requirements.
  • Support validators in managing outstanding referrals and monitoring overdue bookings.
  • Supervise corporate validators to ensure accurate validation of RTT patients and achievement of performance goals.

The post holder will handle sensitive information related to patient diagnoses and treatment plans, including queries about clock stops, suspensions, and on-hold pathways. In cases of validation errors, prompt escalation to the Performance & Operations Manager is required for necessary actions.
