We are looking for a fine material handler and inspector to join our small but growing team. The job entails working in our laboratory clean room using tools to carry out picking of small components. Picking is done both manually using very fine tipped vacuum pens and also by using semi-automated desktop equipment. Once picked, all material needs to be assessed for quality and any rejects removed. The successful applicant will be methodical, reliable with meticulous attention to detail

Key Responsibilities (full training will be given):

  • Handling of delicate small components using vacuum pens
  • Packing components in correct quantity for customer orders
  • Operating smallscale semiautomated picking equipment
  • Assessment of outgoing material quality using a microscope to a set standard
  • Working with sales team to ensure order deadlines are met

Skills:

  • Excellent hand eye coordination
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Adaptable and willing to learn
  • Basic computer knowledge
Silicon Supplies Ltd are a small but growing specialist company in the area of micro-electronics.

Working Hours:

Full-time:

  • Monday
  • Friday 8am4pm

Part time:

  • Minimum 16 hours per week.
  • Hours negotiable between the hours of 8am4pm Monday Friday.

  • 20 days + bank holidays
