Head of Acquisitions.

Your Role


Well, you'll be setting clear direction for our Land, Planning and S106 teams, making sure people and activities are aligned with our business strategy - bringing teams together to work towards common goals You'll have overall responsibility for ensuring a continuous land pipeline, leading the team to acquire sites for a mix of tenures.


Being part of the senior leadership team at Yorkshire Housing, you'll provide inspiring and confident leadership to your teams and the wider business, empowering colleagues and taking forward our culture of innovation, flexibility and service excellence.


You'll always be on the lookout for new opportunities and partnerships, adopting a commercial approach to land buying and development whilst delivering value for money for our customers.


With one eye always on the future, you'll be working closely with our Construction and Grant Funding Teams to deliver the programme.

You'll also need to work alongside our technical and sustainability teams ensuring we continue on our roadmap to net zero carbon development.


We're big on data, so you'll have operational oversight of performance data, and will analyse this to report to our Director of Development.

A track record of leading a large and diverse land acquisitions programme:

A track record of managing multi skilled teams with confidence and skill

Sound knowledge and experience in Land and S106 acquisitions and able to identify and manage risk

Able to work effectively and collaboratively with peers and the wider senior management team

A pragmatic and balanced approach to business risk with a strong eye for detail

A credible and articulate leader, who can inspire teams towards shared goals and deliver excellent service and high performance
