Job overview

An exciting position has arisen as a support medical secretary to join the Dermatology Department within the Area Central team. The candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role will be to provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administration duties to the Consultants and their associated teams.

Main duties of the job

This challenging position requires someone who is a team player, flexible, organised and is able to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will need to have experience within an administrative role and hold the following qualifications:

GCSE Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent. NVQ level or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards. L RSA/OCR or equivalent experience.

This position also requires excellent communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and is able to represent the department with due professionalism.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
