Theatre Support Worker, Band 3, Ninewells Hospital

An opportunity has arisen for individuals to join the multidisciplinary team within the operating departments of NHS Tayside. We are seeking a friendly, motivated and committed person to carry out this role. We would expect you to display good organisational skills, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful applicant will be based at the above-mentioned site, but may be required to vary their workplace within the area covered by NHS Tayside, as required.


You will play an important part in the patient's journey, working within the operating department and assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) & Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) in the care and treatment of patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Health care experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for this post.


You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.


Hours of work are:
full and part time hours with a commitment to day / night rotation and on call if required by clinical area
