Your role:


The Assistant Management Accountant is predominantly responsible for preparing accurate and timely information to enable the Management Accountant to produce management reports.

The role ensures the timely production of KPI reports, monitoring of inventoryand purchase price variances, product costing reviews and accurate monthly journals.


Your Key Responsibilities to help us achieve our vision:

  • Preparation and distribution of the monthly departmental cost reporting.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of inventory.
  • Review product costings and make recommendations.
  • Monthly journals.
  • Responsible for VAT preparation and filing.
  • Ensure understanding of import and export compliance.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the purchase price variance with support from the Assistant Accountant.
  • Preparation of the German entity accounts with support from the Assistant Accountant.
  • Assist with the review of monthly cost reporting with the Management Accountant and budget holders.
  • Rotational preparation of the weekly KPI reports.
  • Provide Accounts, Credit Control and Accounts Payable cover when required.
  • Deputise for the Management Accountant when required.
  • Support the Management Accountant with the annual audit.
  • Support the Management Accountant with the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Adhoc queries as requested by the Management Accountant and other departments.
  • Confident with excellent IT and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel, and preferably be AAT qualified or equivalent and have over 3 years of finance experience.
