The Role & Team

  • The Team sits within the Safer Directorate; its purpose is to help ensure that our local partners and services are effective in working together to safeguard children. We are passionate about the work we do, and the difference it makes to protecting children in our community.
  • You will play an important part of this service, by providing excellent administrative support, as well as being our lead Minute Taker which will involve attending important meetings including safeguarding learning reviews and accurately recording detailed minutes.
  • This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and work closely with experienced people from within and outside the organisation. You could be working with the police, schools, children's services, health agencies and voluntary sector and so the ability to network and maintain relationships is advantageous.
  • Other duties may also include:_
  • Updating the SCP (Safeguarding Children Partnership) website with key information.
  • Supporting in the development of policies and procedures, which support effective multi agency working in protecting children and assisting with the planning of small projects.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to further their administrative career and help to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

About You

  • You will have excellent listening skills and previous experience of recording detailed minutes accurately.
  • You will have experience of communicating with different people and services, as well as effective organisational and time management skills. You will have good knowledge of ICT e.g. MS office, Outlook, Word Excell).
  • Full training will also be provided as part of your induction.
