We are a well-established Company, operating for over 50 years and are looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our business at a very exciting time of growth and investment.


This presents an excellent prospect for an individual who has fabrication experience in particular fabricating steel parts from sheet metal.

In this role you will be responsible for all operating fabrication machinery i.e. brake press, roll, shears and punch

What the day to day will look like?

Responsibilities

  • Complete all fabricating tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to a high standard.
  • Ensure a commitment to quality at all stages of fabricator by selfinspecting of completed parts before they move onto the next operation.
  • Ability to operate fabrication machinery i.e. brake press, roll, shears and punch.
  • Report any machinery that are not fit for use to Supervisor.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping.
  • Report any Health & Safety concerns to Supervisor.
What knowledge and experience should you have?

  • Proven background in fabrication in particular fabricating steel parts from sheet metal.
  • Previous experience working in an automotive, mechanical or similar industry.
  • Experience working within a strong safety culture.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings and follow instruction.
  • Knowledge of production processes.
  • City and Guilds / SVQ qualification would be advantageous.
