We are excited to present a great opportunity for a Development Assurance Officer to join our Development Delivery team in the West region, on a specified term until August 2025. The role will be based in Bristol, offering a blend of office and remote work to support a healthy work-life balance.

Together, we manage over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and Southern England – our mission is to provide high-quality affordable housing and vibrant communities that people will cherish for years to come.

Our Development team is embarking on a new chapter with an ambitious Investment Strategy geared towards creating more homes and enhancing communities. This year, SNG aims to complete approximately 2000 new homes across our regions, with a long-term plan to construct over 24,000 new homes in the next decade.

The Role

In this role, reporting to the Assistant Director of Development Delivery, you will collaborate with development delivery teams and various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure a seamless transition of newly built homes into our business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating New Property Information Packs (NPIPs) containing detailed scheme information and documentation for all new developments, such as legal paperwork, site layouts, HSE compliance, warranties, shared ownership/sales, etc.
  • Monitoring and reviewing incoming documentation in readiness for unit handovers, proactively flagging missing information to our teams, and distributing to the relevant parties.
  • Monitoring legal platforms for incoming data, uploading it to our local files and folders promptly.
  • Updating the SEMS system at the commencement of each new development with site outlines and other pertinent details.
  • Supporting Project Managers and the Charging Officer in creating Charging Packs to ensure timely availability to the Treasury team.
  • Aiding in compiling information necessary for internal and external audits, including those for Homes England.

What we require from you

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, understanding the new home development process or possessing technical administrative experience. Additionally, you should have:

  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Any prior experience with SDS Sequel would be beneficial.
