The position involves county-wide responsibilities and close cooperation with professionals from different sectors, including the Police and Children's Services. Willow is an integral part of Hampshire Children's Services and operates within the 'Front Door' MASH Service located in MASH, Parkway, Fareham, necessitating flexibility to meet service demands.

You will work closely with children, young people, and families facing intricate and challenging situations. Your role will require exceptional risk assessment skills, care planning, and decision-making abilities rooted in a clinical background that prioritizes child safeguarding against exploitation. A trauma-informed approach is essential in your work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Willow Team Manager and colleagues in delivering a health-focused service for exploited children and young people
  • To provide professional guidance to nursing/health colleagues on exploitation issues
  • To develop and deliver training on Health and child exploitation topics to professionals
  • To support the implementation of health and social care policies and drive change
  • To oversee own professional development and training records
  • To assess, plan, and provide guidance on high-risk cases related to child exploitation
  • To manage a complex caseload responsibly
  • To create specialized care programs for Health and CSE/Sexual health
  • To involve young people, parents, and carers in service participation
  • To offer supervision to junior staff members
  • To adhere to professional codes of conduct and organizational policies
  • To support social workers during visits and share clinical insights
  • To share intelligence and assist with network analysis
  • To assist in completing network analysis and mapping

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse/SCPHN/AHP
  • 1st Degree
  • Continuous professional development in safeguarding children/young people
  • Specialist qualification in Safeguarding Children

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or working towards one
  • Teaching and assessment qualification
  • Leadership and Management qualification or relevant experience

Experience:

  • Knowledge of National and Local Safeguarding Policies and relevant legislation
  • Experience in Safeguarding supervision and Trauma Informed Approach
  • Leadership in MASH/Safeguarding Children agenda and CSE matters
  • Handling complex caseloads and delivering Sexual Health services
