Responsibilities

  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Driving supply chain performance and competitiveness through clear communication and alignment with suppliers.
  • Ensuring that all purchasing follows customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Obtaining costs and lead times to support customer quotes.
  • Purchasing to support production including:
  • Raw materials
  • Tooling
  • Sundries (sealants, paints etc)
  • Parts
  • Subcontracted processes
  • Adhoc production requirements
  • Other purchasing as and when required.
  • Obtaining current supplier estimated delivery dates and maintaining this information in the ERP system.
  • Input into supplier approval and management activities, including:
  • Identifying potential suppliers
  • Communicating with potential suppliers to obtain information/quotes
  • Visiting current and potential suppliers
  • Communicating with suppliers on current performance and issues
  • You may be required to perform any other reasonable duties/specific projects from time to time and as directed by management.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience interacting with a supply chain
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Previous experience working within the aerospace industry, and particularly within the Airbus supply chain
  • Experience managing supply chain performance
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers
