The King's Trust International (KTI) has been supporting young people worldwide since 2015. Founded by HM The King, our Royal Founding President, to tackle the global crisis of youth unemployment, our vision is that every young person should have the chance to succeed, and our mission is to empower young people to learn, earn and thrive.

Our programmes and interventions are now present in 20 countries within the Commonwealth and beyond, across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East.

We are committed to amplifying the voices of young people on the global stage and putting their needs at the very heart of the design and delivery of our work. This complements global efforts to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those relating to quality education and decent work.

The King's Trust International is committed to representing, at all levels, the global communities and young people that we serve.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our regional programme staff and a global network of over 35 partners, providing technical design and digital product support and developing projects in line with partner and donor requirements.

In this interim role, you will support KTI's Digital and Design team in implementing the core programme design strategy, including our digital products, working alongside the Director of Delivery and Impact and with the Senior Leadership Team. You will work closely with regional functions within the programmes team, supporting the delivery of high-quality programmes and digital platforms for our young people across 20 countries via a network of in-country delivery partners.

In this fixed-term maternity cover position, you will lead and manage a team of technical programme design, content and digital product experts, ensuring that KTI's strategic goals and objectives are met and that regional programmes are effectively and efficiently supported.

The Digital and Design team is a central function within KTI, working closely alongside Impact and Safeguarding teams to support the delivery of global and regional frameworks and tools for our programmes. In this role you would be responsible for ensuring best practice for programme design and digital product development are prioritised in our regional delivery, as well as in the global tools and processes which inform and guide our work with young people.

About you

You will have extensive experience of leading and managing high-performing teams to deliver impactful quality programmes. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to adapt your communication style to diverse audiences both in the UK and internationally, with a strong understanding of youth-centred design practices and an appreciation of the use of technology for development. A team player, you will work well across teams with a proactive and solutions-focused attitude. Skills in organisation and collaboration are key, you will be confident in bringing together project teams to drive the best outcomes for young people both on and offline.

Perks for working at The King's Trust International:

  • Great holiday package. 30 days annual leave entitlement, plus public holidays. Office closure the days between Christmas and New Year
  • Fantastic Family leave. Receive 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay for maternity and adoption leave and pro rata entitlement for shared parental leave. Receive 8 weeks full pay for paternity leave.
  • Flexible and agile working. Where operationally possible, you can work your hours that support a work-life balance including compressed hours and hybrid-working (part office - part home based) or working from home options.
  • Benefits platform. Everything from health and financial wellbeing support to discounts on your favourite restaurants, shops and cinemas
  • A free employee assistance programme (EAP) to support your mental wellbeing.
  • PTI will contribute 5% of your salary to the workplace Pension Scheme
  • Generous life assurance cover (4 x annual salary)
  • In-house and external training opportunities available throughout the year

As part of this commitment, we undertake basic disclosure checks (or international equivalents) in accordance with the Codes of Practice for all roles within Prince's Trust International, and for our roles working directly with young people, at an enhanced level.
