Our Campaigns Team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative individual to join us in the role of Campaigns and Events Delivery Officer.
Working within our Media and PR department, you'll need to be experienced in delivering impactful communications, behaviour-changing campaigns, and community events.
Main Responsibilities
Assist the team and partners to maintain a high level of trust and credibility in policing in Essex by working on great campaigns which employ excellent content and multiple channels to deliver our key messages to external audiences.
Help to unite our team and our Community by working on campaigns and events which reflect the themes within the Force Plan through credible and consistent messages and Calls-to-Action to all audiences.
Ensure collaboration with all colleagues and help evaluate reach and message cut-through against measures agreed with senior colleagues in order to ensure effective use of public resources.
Support a positive, collaborative culture within the team which amplifies the impact of our work and allows subordinates clear routes to professional development.
Demonstrate a clear motivation to help protect and serve the people of Essex, with a clear desire to encourage colleagues and partners to help people, keep people safe and catch criminals.
A master of storytelling, with a strong belief in public service, we want to know that you can identify the best way to reach a wide range of audiences so that you can share information that could help save lives.
If you have a keen eye for digital storytelling, a great knowledge of the latest social media trends, and someone who wants to make a difference to their local communities, then we want to hear from you.
Although you'll be based at our Chelmsford HQ, this role can require travelling around the county to meet various teams and partners, so access to a vehicle is desirable.
2-3 years' experience in a previous marketing, PR or communications role.Experience of planning, creating, delivering and evaluating campaigns and events.
The ability to demonstrate strong partnership working skills.
It would also be helpful if you could evidence:
A recognised qualification in journalism, PR, marketing or campaigns.
Public affairs knowledge or experience, so you can help shape the Essex Police narrative for existing and emerging issues (e.g. county lines, knife crime, support for victims of domestic and sexual abuse).
Successful applicants for this role will be defined as an; Office based Agile Worker - Office based agile working with designated team area.
The role is office-based agile and there is a requirement to work 60% at Essex Police Headquarters with the remaining 40% to be worked agilely.
Currently the designated contractual workplace for this role is located at Essex Police Headquarters in Chelmsford.All of our posts require a level of vetting and security clearance. During the recruitment process you will be sent vetting information forms to complete.
